About Serbia. I think it's fair to say we're level of Denmark, for example. Chile, Paraguay, Mexico, USA, second class of world football. To make something with that amount of quality, you have to be brave. Like mentioned selections. We were not and didn't deserve to play on the higher level. Wasn't matter of luck.

Something definitely is wrong with this England team.At the first moment,I thought it's a part of Don Fabio (Italian) tactic,where after sloppy two (or even three) games in the group, team reach the final.But,hard discipline is one thing and cameras in the players' rooms something else.Terry's press conference pointed a bad atmosphere.Capello after last game said that players were fearing of a failure.Against Algeria?!Come on people,be serious.What if they face Germany in the next round (very possible)?They would feel confident?
Slovenia is much stronger selection than Algeria.Their important characteristic is they like to shoot from the distance,where is English confidence against questionable,since the recent goalkeeping problem.
Let me clear,England is a serious favorite here but 1.45 doesn't represent a true risk.And personally won't be too much surprised to see them eliminated.I expect a nervous game and choose a bet on cards.

P.S.:Could anyone explain me,what is exactly Beckham's role on the bench,along Capello and players?

Yanks are a decent squad.Maybe little lack in technique,but they're great runners.In previous two games,started to play after went a goal down (two down,against Slovenia).I guess they've learned a lesson.They need a win to progress and avoiding Germans should be a good reason to put some extra effort and score more than one.
I think bookies overreacted here,once again.Algeria played a draw,but they weren't great just England was awful.They'll put a decent fight and won't be afraid (because the draw,of course).If they concede first,they'll go in front as they have some theoretical chance for progress.

Germans have made a very good impression on me and can see them even in final.Only problem is they're very young and could crash under the pression at one moment.(I guess with Ballack,they'd look like a bloody nightmare.)And maybe a problem could be a coach Low.As I wrote once,don't like him from the start.He has great defenders,but against Serbia put heavy-weight Badstuber on the position of left-back to watch on our fastest player Krasic.Normally,he overlooked that thin,little detail on the press conference (we scored after Krasic's run and crossing,actually),but didn't miss a chance to moan for a bad luck,(what bad luck,you creep?!Sorry.) at the same time messing Serbs with Bosnians and Croats.

Ghana is decent African team.Bad sides are they lack in technique and discipline (Muntari was dumped from the camp,then rejoined).Good sides.First one is not a problem,they're athletes-physhically superior.But,they're runners.To explain with a different words.Against Germany,our (Serbian) main task was not to get involved in the run across the pitch!They're Germans,nobody can beat them in running.Our players,even with a player more,were trying to keep the pace down.Ghana can't transform their play so much.Rajevac said the most important thing is not to concede!Really?!

Germany maybe will be nervous and that's the only Ghana's advantage.If Germany score,Ghana will go all-in and will be doomed,while Germany wouldn't like to keep a minimal lead.2-0,3-0 correct score.

I think we all can agree that "Argentina B" (which means Millito and Aguero alongside Messi,probably Di Maria and Maxi on the flanks) is still much stronger than Greek full and highly motivated squad.
The thing that fears me most is the idea Argies will play more for fun than for the result.Attractive and nice to watch,but not so responsible in defense tasks (especially mentioned five).
Other thing is Otto Rehhagel.German who won EURO with his hard-to-watch defensive football.Counter attacks and set pieces are the only way to score.So,in combination with my first reason I could imagine very complicate scenario here.
I don't say Argentina won't smash them,but simply don't like those odds.Will skip this one.

The point of a draw is both sides will pass the group.Ok,what Mexico thinks about it?Maybe they can win,they defeated France and are full of confidence.But,they should accept a draw and face Argentina instead Korea probably?!Nah,doesn't sound like Mexico.Even if they lose,probability to be eliminated is very low as France won't trash anybody today.
Other thing,if one side score (it's hardly to imagine a game without any chance,at least because the fear of UEFA president),they should just allow other to score?He-he Mexico and Uruguay?Hell,no.
We already have seen 2-2 draw once,but this sides?No,I don't think so.
Winner will have a red carpet to a quarter-final(and I hope Serbia he-he),loser gets top favorite.

Home side will try to not the end competition without a win (in theory,they have even a chance to be 2nd).That,also should be a slap to FIFA board that gave them to host WC.Blatter has been talking rubbish for years and now his favorites will be last in the group.Funny,at least.
Happenings in the French camp are surely a shame for their nation.I don't feel bad about it,they didn't even deserve to be there.Starting 11 will be interesting.Evra allegedly has refused(!!!) to play.His example probably will follow some other players.

We played an awful game against Ghana and deservedly lost thankfully to bad display and shocking tactic by Antic. Today we’ll put our best effort, but true is we usually can’t cope with Germans. To make the situation even worse, we have to win. And attacking Germans could be very unpleasant. Antic will probably set cautious 4-5-1 to wait for counter attacks or set pieces. That will work until we concede. I never bet against my team and will choose goals instead.

 

Slovenia - USA, NO BET

 

Both sides made positive results after terrible mistakes by goalkeepers. USA is in little bit better position (play Algeria in last round), they have, in my opinion, better team and they wouldn’t be disappointed with a draw today. 2.10 is to low for USA and I will pass this.

For England this is the most important game in the group. Key of their possible success is 1st place. No injuries, no reason for keeping the players for other games.
Americans have declared this game as the most important in their soccer history. No, it is not. It will be that one against Slovenia. They’re decent side and have huge political support (football globalization story), but I doubt they’ll provide some shocks in SA.

Argentina - Nigeria

Argies, in my opinion, have the biggest potential in SA. If there is Passarella, or any other decent coach, instead Maradona, they would be main contenders to win the competition. My biggest concern regarding Argentina is some tactical stupidity by El Pibe that could bury them easily. For the first game he plans very attacking 3-4-3 formation. Hm…
Nigeria is average Africa’s team, no big stars (Anichebe and Martins are the biggest) and maybe key player (Obi Mikel) is injured. I think they can score once.

USA 2-3 Brazil

Brazil denied the United States a shock victory by coming back from two goals down to win the Confederations Cup.
A Clint Dempsey flick and a Landon Donovan strike on the counter put the US into a surprise 2-0 half-time lead. 
Luis Fabiano pulled one back for Brazil before Kaka was denied an equaliser when his header was wrongly judged not to have crossed the line. 
Luis Fabiano's headed second levelled matters before, five minutes from time, Lucio nodded in a corner to win it. 
After upsetting the odds so spectacularly with their 2-0 semi-final victory over Spain, the US almost tore up the script again, against opponents who had beaten them 3-0 in the group stage of the competition. 
Predictably, favourites Brazil had the lion's share of possession, but the incisive football was played by the American underdogs throughout the first half.

USA - Brazil Confederations Cup 2009 - Final

USA came on this competition as clear outsiders. Two first games (Italy 1-3 and Brazil 0-3) just confirmed the dark predictions. But in the third game against Egypt (who had defeated Azzurri and lost narrowly to Brazil), Americans played a perfect game. Bob Bradley changed defensive 5-4-1 formation into 4-4-2. It resulted with three goals, by Davies, Michael Bradley and Dempsey, for a convincing 3-0 win. Brazil beat Italy by the same scoreline and USA became the first team in Confederations Cup history who qualify from the group stage with three points and a negative goal difference. Then they shocked Spain making the greatest win in their history. Although defending the entire game, USA used two big mistakes in opposite’s defence and brake Spain’s 15 games winning streak. Now, they’re just one step far from the trophy, but need one more miracle. Bob Bradley has to make one change, midfielder Michael Bradley is suspended after became the third American to be sent off during this tournament.

The defending champions are contesting their fourth Confederations Cup final. After a debatable start on the bench of national team, Carlos Dunga has instilled a level of discipline and tactic that, so far, give the tremendous effect. World Cup 2010 qualification is almost secured and in this Confederations Cup campaign they have looked extremely comfortable. They’re unbeaten in 15 games (eleven wins and four draws), seven wins in a row and kept 11 clean sheets during those 15 games. Bob Bradley will back 5-4-1 formation (attacking would be a suicidal mission) and will face Brazil with tough defence. Dunga’s lads are exhausted and they’ll have hard job to score. USA defeated Spain? Before that eliminated Italy and Egypt. I'm not a lover of conspiracy theories, but this reminds me on the Blater's theory how football is actually invited in China (story announced before WC in South Korea)! Yes, sure. After game popularisation in Asia, it seems North America is next. Big market, big potential, dollars have a nice smell... And what is the better advertising than the big achieve of national team? I won't be even surprised if USA beat Brazil in final! Or, maybe South Africa?! I feel sick about that. Won't even watch last two games.

Spain 0-2 USA

The United States caused one of the biggest upsets in world football by beating European champions Spain in the semi-finals of the Confederations Cup.
Jozy Altidore broke the deadlock on 27 minutes when he turned Joan Capdevila and beat Iker Casillas from 15 yards. 
Fulham's Clint Dempsey then doubled the lead on 74 minutes when he converted Landon Donovan's pass from close range. 
The defeat in South Africa ended Spain's world record of 15 straight wins and their 35-match unbeaten run. 
"It's exciting, a great team effort. To beat an amazing team like Spain and make the final, it's big," said US coach Bob Bradley. 
"We played as hard as we could and that's what it took. Every guy contributed, so it's a very good feeling."
US captain Carlos Bocanegra added: "I think it just shows that we can compete with the best. Now we need to do it on a consistent basis." 
The US opened the tournament with a 3-1 loss to world champions Italy before being outclassed 3-0 by Brazil but they advanced to the last four by beating Egypt 3-0. 
"It goes to show what hard work and commitment to each other can bring," stated US goalkeeper Tim Howard, who made crucial saves to deny David Villa and Fernando Torres. "Football is a funny thing." 
Victory meant the US advanced to their first Fifa final, although the achievement was slightly soured by the dismissal of Michael Bradley. 
The midfielder, son of the US coach, will now miss Sunday's showdown against either defending champions Brazil or hosts South Africa.

Spain - USA

After the winning of EURO 2008, Spain continued with trashing their opponents. They finished an impressive group stage in the 2009 Confederations Cup by defeating hosts South Africa 2-0 on Saturday night. The victory has given Spain a world record of 15 consecutive international wins. And not just that, by avoiding defeat in tonight’s match, they would also set a new all-time record for unbeaten matches – they are currently level with Brazil on 35. First place in the group with eight goals scored and zero conceded, while strikers Fernando Torres and David Villa both have 3 goals apiece. Vincente Del Bosque has probably the best team in Spanish history. Attacking duo Torres-Villa is certainly the best on the world. Midfield, even without Senna and Iniesta looks masterful, while defence conceded just two goals from last 16 games and a clean sheet has been kept in a remarkable 25 of mentioned 35 fixtures (over 70%)! Considering their current shape, they’re big favorites in this semi-final.

After the first two displays, situation looked hopeless for USA. Two defeats, from Italy and Brazil, with six goals conceded and two red cards deserved. They needed a wonder to pass the group stage. But, in the third game, lads humiliated confused Pharaons (who btw. played defensive in the second-half, trying to keep the minimal defeat!) and with the favor from Brazil who defeated Italy, booked a ticket to semi-finals. Players confidence raised, they’ll undoubtedly put up a good fight in this encounter, but Spain isn’t Egypt. On the other half of the pitch will be (probably) the best eleven on the world. Egypt 0-3 USA

The USA produced a barnstorming display to thump Egypt and surprisingly reach the Confederations Cup semi-finals.
With Brazil 3-0 winners against Italy in the other Group B game, the USA, who had lost their opening two games, went through at Egypt and Italy's expense. 
Egypt goalkeeper Essam Al Hadari's spilled Jozy Altidore's cross and Charlie Davies pounced for the opener. 
After the break the USA upped the tempo and after Michael Bradley sidefooted in Clint Dempsey headed home the third. 
Dempsey's goal ensured the USA qualified under the most unlikely circumstances and will now play European champions Spain in the first semi-final in Bloemfontein on Wednesday with South Africa up against Brazil in Johannesburg on Thursday.

Egypt were missing striker Mohamed Zidan with a hamstring injury and his replacement Ahmed Abdel-Ghani was guilty of missing several first half chances in the early exchanges. 
But the USA also had several attacks before finally going ahead, with Egypt up to that point thankful to Al Hadari for keeping them in the game.

Egypt - USA

This is the last game in the group. The propositions say Egyptians are definitely through if they better Italy's result. Should the Azzurri win, the Egyptians can overtake them if they beat the USA by a bigger margin. Before the start of competition, Egypt was rated as a third selection in the group, but after two games played they deserve a title of biggest surprise. In the first game, they were equal against World Champions-Brazil, loosing the game in the last moments (from controversial penalty kick). Players’ confidence raised rapidly and that was more than obvious in the second game, where Pharaons made a historic victory over Italy. They played tactically perfect and score from the only good opportunity. But, while the lads were beating Italy, five of the players were the victims of burglary, with thieves breaking into their hotel rooms in Johannesburg. That has done little to dampen the Pharaohs' spirits, with the squad confident they can record a convincing win against the USA. Bad news is Egypt could be without striker Mohamed Zidan after he picked up a hamstring injury in the win against Italy. The Pharaohs are short of experienced strikers, with Amr Zaki injured before the tournament began and Mido out of favour with coach Hassan Shehata.

Oposite from Egypt, before the start of Confederations Cup USA was declared as the group outsider. And in the first two games they proved that status. The only good thing was the first half in the opening game against Italy. They scored, even with a player less and were equal on the pitch. But, till the game end conceded three times. Second game didn’t bring anything good. Another three hits, from Brazil (with mixed starting eleven) this time, and another red card. The USA squad records an obvious improvement in last couple of years, but it seems they’re still far from the best world teams. Even at competition such as Confederations Cup. The players are certainly disappointed with two convincing defeats and the question is will they be able to recover mentally for the Pharaons. However, USA is not without the chance for progress. They have to win by at least three goals and Italy to lose. Ricardo Clark is back after a ban but Sacha Klejstan is suspended.
