Premier League Betting - Aug 11, 2019

Leicester - Wolverhampton, Over 2.5 at 2.19 (Pinnacle)
Leicester’s 9 out of last 13 EPL games ended with 3 or more goals. They’re now without Maguire, as well. Wolves have conceded at least one goal in each away game since October, and two goals in 3 of their last 4 away games. On the other hand, they have scored in 10 out of their last 14 games away.

Odds are too good to be overlooked. Good luck!

Man Utd - Blackpool,
United at home have a fearful record of 17 wins of 18 games. Only failure was a draw vs. WBA when they conceded two funny goals after 2-0 (remember how much I was happy with my -2 bet at ht). However, Blackpool are not West Ham from few seasons ago and I cannot imagine any, for them positive scenario. Nice and easy home win. 3-0 correct result.

Bet: Man Utd -1
Odd: 1.84 Betsson
Stake: 8/10

Fulham - Arsenal
The Cottagers are in very good shape, Arsenal are in a free fall and can’t see a reason why that should change today. I feel these odds are set wrong and think there’s a value on backing home side. Have been thinking about the best bet and decided not to be greedy.

Bet: Fulham +0.25
Odd: 2.25 (Canbet)
Stake: 7/10

And two small gambles (out of the record).
1.Overs in all games (Man Utd, Spurs and Man City over 3). Last day, why not? It could pay me a holiday, odd is 838.43 at 188bet.
2.In case Arry didn’t joke about Europa League. Birmingham to win + Liverpool draw. Double at 22.75, also 188bet.

Premier League betting, Blackpool - Bolton

Can’t really see how 2.00 (and still dropping) for the side that hasn’t won in last nine games could be a good deal. Saying that, I’ll exclude the reasoning like must win, don’t need... This really is do or die for the Seasiders, but that certainly doesn’t guarantee anything. Holloway changed their gung ho style, realizing that one point is always better than high scoring defeat. They have three draws in a row, but another draw (with a trip to Old Trafford in last round) would practically send them down. And chasing a win with a defence that has conceded 71 goals in 36 games could be very problematic.

Bolton had some very good runs of results during the season and look careless at 9th spot. They lost last three games in a row, also lost last four on the road (ten of eleven). They really look like they’re with one foot on the beach already, but this kind of games could wake the team from the lethargy.  Also, don’t think club’s board finds it the same if the Trotters finish 8th or 14th (four points margin). Coyle will be without midfielder Mark Davies.

Maybe it’s more instinct than facts, but I expect a goal fest. It’s too big stake for Blackpool even to keep minimal lead. On the other hand, big pressure could make them even more vulnerable. I’d predict goals on both sides.

Wolves - WBA, betting tip - 13h cet

p
Wolves are two points below the line and in last two rounds will visit Sunderland and in last day potential cracker, will host Blackburn. It’s a must win game, one point would leave only slim chances for survive. They’re winless in last five and will have some problems in front line as Kightly, Ebanks-Blake and Doyle are probably all out. Wolves have noticed only one win out of last ten clashes against WBA.

The Baggies are safe, but wouldn’t lack in motivation to send big rivals down to Championship. Since Roy Hodgson took the charge, they look like reborn with just one defeat out of last ten matches (Chelsea). Skipper Brunt, Reid and Jara are doubts, Scharner is suspended, Jerome Thomas should play.

I cannot see Wolves winning this one. They look toothless in front and defensive line is prone to big mistakes. Keeping a draw doesn’t make too much sense, but if they push too much for a winner will get execution.

West Ham - Blackburn

The Hammers cannot afford to lose this one, although even defeat wouldn’t eliminate them since they’ll have Wigan at home and Sunderland away in the last two rounds. Five defeats and a draw in last six encounters, but mainly against top sides. West Ham don’t play badly, but cannot defend properly as they conceded 14 goals in last five games. Also five of their last six wins came after they scored three goals or more. Parker and Upson will have a late fitness test. The Hammers have won eight out of last nine competitive games at home against Blackburn.

The Rovers grabbed big three points in previous  round defeating Bolton at home. Before that, they were in a free fall with four draws and six defeats out of ten. On the road they took just a point of last seven games and hold the worst defensive record on the road (40 goals in 17 games). They have three players rated as in doubt, Hoilett, Dunn and Salgado. Manager Kean says that he expects two of them to be in the team.

I still don’t get it how the team with such talent as West Ham lie at the bottom. I’ll stick to my previous opinion and predict they will stay. Fancy them to win today, but will take goals as safer option.

Blackpool - Stoke

This is do or die game for the Seasiders (as the previous two were though). Only goal difference is keeping them above the line and beside Stoke, they’ll host Bolton and visit Spurs and Man Utd. A failure today would probably send them to Championship. They have far worst defence in Premier that in average concedes more than 2 goals per a game. At some moments they don’t even look serious, although showed some improvement against the Toon. Both sides have scored in every of previous 17 games at Bloomfield Road.

Stoke are safe and only area of interest is FA Cup and the final next Sunday. They don’t need points, but I doubt they’d like to damage team morale by losing from the side that is winless in last seven games and has one win of last 14. Besides that, Stoke haven’t lost there since 1964 (10 games). They will miss Etherington who is very important player for the team, but some other guys are in a top shape. Kenwyne Jones, Walters and Pennant should be running the riot. Also, I’m not sure Blackpool will be able to defend the set pieces.

Personally I’ll be cheering for Blackpool. Side that plays 4-3-3 in Premier League regardless the name of opponent should stay, at least for the sake of the game. They will be fighting and attacking, but poor defending will probably send them down to Championship. Goals for me.

p

Stoke - Wolverhampton

With five games to play, Stoke still aren’t safe with five points more (and this game in hand) than Wigan. They have only two wins out of last eight league games (total of eight points), but at home their record is more than decent (as always under Pulis). They have won four and drawn two out of last six at Britannia. Ricardo Fuller is out, John Carew is available.

Mick McCarthy and Wolves are felling the fire under the feet. They are one point below the line and are in the group of 7-8 clubs who have every reason to worry about Premiership status. Even a point wouldn’t improve their position too much and I believe they’ll go for a win. Problem is they have the worst away record in Premier with only two wins out of 16 games and total of eight(!) points (defeated Villa and L’pool though). Stephen Hunt is contention, Ebanks-Blake in doubt.

At the first glance and as the odds suggest, this should be a nervous game and low scoring affair. But, the fact is one point doesn’t mean too much for any side. Stoke are favourites and I think they won’t just sit back and keep the opening score. Why should they? They’re hosting the worst travellers in the league. On the other hand, Wolves will have to find the way to score which should make them even more vulnerable than usual. Also, I wouldn’t overlook the possibility goal difference will be very important at the end. I’ll go against public opinion and take goals.

p

Tottenham - Arsenal

Spurs are in the race for CL spot (three points less than Man City with a game in hand) and this is more than “just” a derby game. They have lost just once against Arsenal in last eight competitive games (0-3 at Emirates) and lost also once in last 26 league games at White Hart Lane. Peter Crouch will be in the team after he served the suspension, Pienaar is rated as in doubt.

For the Gunners, this is the very last chance. Just one win of last six in the league and they’re seven points below United (with this game in hand). Also we’ll see how they will react on 102th minute shocker three days ago. However, Arsenal are still the best travellers in Premier (29 points of 15 games) and are undefeated in all six away games in 2011. Tragedian, Emmanuel Eboue, will be probably replaced by recovered Bacary Sagna. Denilson, Rosicky and Almunia are also fit.

Both sides are desperate for points, but don’t have impressive defensive records lately. I think this would be an open game (play for a goal more), not a tactical battle. Odds are more than acceptable.

p

West Ham - Aston Villa

There are plenty of conspiracy theories why West Ham will stay in Premier. I will keep to the field and would say they will probably stay because they possess much more quality in players than their fellow strugglers. Problem is defence line, one of the worst in league. They have conceded 56 goals in 32 games, seven in last two. Skipper Scott Parker is rated in doubt and his absence would be a huge miss in the midfield. However, this is a make or break for the Hammers and we will see an ultimate effort. Kieron Dyer could be in the team after finishing his loan spell Ipswich. West Ham have lost only three of 14 matches against bottom-half sides.

Villa are also (in my honest opinion) team of unused potential. Randy Lerner’s lack of sense for sport and investment costs them a fight for Europe. Players hate Houllier (I cannot blame them) and that is probably the main reason for the underachieving. They defeated the Toon in the previous round, but still are not safe (five points above the line). Their counter-attack approach should suit more for the away games, but Villa have noticed five winless games on the road (three defeats, two draws), have conceded 12 in those and haven’t kept a clean sheet in last 17 away league matches.

West Ham are desperate for three points, but Villa are definitely able to score. Odds on goals are more than decent. Another over for me.

WBA - Arsenal

West Brom look much better under Roy Hodgson, they’re undefeated in last four in league and in previous round won in derby away vs. Brum (3-1). But, the fact is they haven’t kept a clean sheet in previous 27 games. On the other hand, from the bottom-half sides only Blackpool have scored more goals (WBA 39). Key midfielder Dorrans is out, other midfielder Mulumbu is doubtful, while Vela cannot play against parent club.

Arsenal suffered two painful defeats in last 10 days (Barca and Man Utd), but they still look good in the title race. Three points less than Utd, but with a game in hand (counting on Utd’s injuries and tough game vs. Bolton today). Arsenal have good record on the road against bottom sides, but Wenger is facing a long injury list. Seven players are out, Fabregas, Djourou, Diaby, Vermaelen, Szczesny, Walcott and Song. Jens Lehmann is in the squad which makes me think they will be vulnerable more than usual. Good news for Wenger is Bendtner returns.

The Gunners are desperate for points, but absolutely the same is with WBA. I expect an open game and goals on both sides.

Birmingham - WBA (12:45 GMT)

The Brummies did lift the trophy, but this game is returning to the cruel Premier reality. They’re two points above the relegation line, this is six-pointer and I’m pretty sure they won’t suffer from a Cup hangover. Despite their bad position on the table, Birmingham have lost just three of their last 29 Premier games at St Andrew's. Barry Ferguson and Craig Gardner got some injuries in the Cup final and are in doubt for today’s clash.

West Brom are going to West Midlands derby after four draws of last five games (three in the row) and five away defeats of six matches. Hodgson added some stability to a horrible defence line, but they became a less dangerous in front as well (excluding Vela, of course). They have made a record with 26 Premier games without a clean sheet (three of them with Hodgson), but Hodgson as Premier League manager won just one of his last 28 away matches. Key man in the midfield, Graham Dorrans, suffered an ankle injury in training on Friday and is a major doubt.

The host will have a sky-high confidence, great support from the stands and they’re probably better team. WBA are pretty poor travellers, they avoided defeats in last two games coming to the point in last minutes and their luck should be spent. Home win (with some limitation regarding the draw). 1-0 correct score.

Stoke- WBA

Stoke have lost four of last five games in Premier, but at home have three wins in a row (Everton, Bolton and Sunderland), scoring seven goals in those. Although being far from a John Carew fan, I think he’s fitting very well in Pulis’ style of play. Matthew Etherington is in doubt for the game. Stoke have won seven of last eight games against West Brom (both at home and away).

The Baggies are a point above the bottom, have lost last five on the road and conceded total of 52 goals. Roy Hodgson took the charge and they avoided defeats in last two league games, draws at home vs. West Ham and Wolves. However, I think he won’t be able to make a fast impact to the squad. His football philosophy is defence while most of the players are attacking minded (Di Matteo’s legacy). In such occasions (the last was Sousa, Swansea to Leicester), teams don’t defend better at first period just stop scoring goals. And yes, West Brom haven’t defeat Stoke on the road in past 29 years (never on Britannia).

Etherington is key player for Pulis and I wanted to hear some news about his condition. If he’s ready to play their chances will be significantly bigger, but in that case odds would significantly drop. So, I’ll exclude him from my consideration and am going to take Stoke as they simply should be too much for West Brom.

Aston Villa - Blackburn

Villa are doing pretty good at the moment, but have to keep it up since they’re just three points above the relegation line. They have scored and conceded in each of last five competitive games and kept the clean sheet just once in last 17. Bent, Agbonlahor and Ashley Young will be serious attacking threat and every of them have great scoring record against Blackburn. However, there’re some real problems for Houllier. Midfielder Makoun is suspended, while defender duo Cuellar - Collins will also miss the game.

Blackburn are just two points above Villa, lost two of last three and have terrible record on the road (3W-1D-9L). They have lost seven of last eight away games, also in seven conceded two or more goals and nine of ten away went in over. Total of conceded goals on the road is 31 which is the highest number in Premiership (same as Villa). They have their own problems in defence line. Samba had a virus but he’s expected to play. Skipper Nielsen insisted to be in a squad despite the earthquake in his birth town at New Zealand and his focus today could be questionable.

I think over is better choice than home win. Last six games of these teams at Villa Park have produced 28 goals(!), both sides have significant defensive problems and despite big Villa’s attacking potential, I think Blackburn will be able to hurt them and to score at least once. I’m on over.

Liverpool - Wigan

There’re finally some smiles at Anfield. They’re in the run of four consecutive wins without conceding and I’m sure they haven’t given up from the idea about Champions League next year (currently six points far from 4th spot). Liverpool have been playing much better at home and have scored two or more goals in seven of last nine games at home. Gerrard and Skrtel are rated as in doubt, while Martin Kelly should be fit.

Wigan will definitely be struggling till the last round. Their win in the previous round over Blackburn was their first of last 16 games and they’re currently first under the relegation line. They have never won at Anfield, losing five of last six competitive games. Defender Gary Caldwell should play with the mask.

Confidence at Eland is sky high after a great win over Chelsea. I expect a more attacking approach and victory with at least two goals margin (with one, half stake is back). Suarez should score. First bet on Liverpool after a while, a year or so.

Bet: Liverpool -1.25

Blackpool - Aston Villa

The Seasiders are sinking without a trace. Seven defeats of last eight Premiership games and five in a row. They’re scoring a lot, but are open at the back and have conceded a total of 49 goals (most in the league), 16 in last five games. Every game at Bloomfield Road this season produced three goals or more with both sides scoring. Goalie Rachubka suffered a knee injury in training and will be replaced with Richard Kingson (which shouldn’t be bad, actually).

Villa have been showing some improvement under Houllier with one defeat of last five and started to climb on the table. However as Blackpool have the worst home record in Premier - eleven points of eleven games, Villa are terrible (third worst in league) on the road with 9 of 13. They have kept only one clean sheet in last 16 encounters. Bent and Ashley Young are fit for the game, as well as Agbonlahor.

Blackpool will be attacking minded as always, Villa have to fancy their chances at Bloomfield. I think goals are a logic choice. Asian handicap, with three the stake is back.

188bet - betting review

I wrote a 188bet review for superbetting.com and am posting here since it should be useful for every punter.
Original address of the article:

188bet

188bet is fairly new bookmaker (in business since 2006.), based in Asia with a tendency to spread over the Europe. They’re owned by Cube Limited, licensed and regulated on the Isle of Man. 188bet has great football (soccer) odds, they’re proud on the live betting offer and financial security, while sponsorship deals with Premier League clubs guarantee an increase in the popularity worldwide.

Votes for

The popularity of Asian books was crushed after Pointbet affair (in 2007.) when many customers were robbed and company just vanished after that. To gain the trust, 188bet is paying big attention to the financial security. They are holding all clients’ funds (deposits plus winnings) in account at The Royal Bank of Scotland International. Which practically means the clients’ money is always safe.
If we talk about the advantages and reasons why average punter should choose them instead some European book, their great odds should be pointed. They are almost the same as at exchanges (but you don’t need to wait for offer to match). Their odds on even games are 1.935 up to incredible 1.98! 188bet opens the market earlier than other bookmakers which gives the opportunity to punters to make some “better deals”. For those who prefer less popular leagues, good news is bookie  covers more than 400 football leagues worldwide which should satisfy the appetites even of the most demanding customers.
188bet likes to be called "In-Play Specialist" as they live betting offer includes at least 2200 events every month. There is some form of in-play betting for nearly every event they cover. In-play is possible on football, NFL, basketball or tennis.
Another strong point is high limits. This attracts the serious players from whole world. At the same time, 188bet is also available for the “small fishes”. Minimal deposit is only 10EUR and minimal bet is 1EUR.
Their dedication to the clients is also reflected in customer support.  Their department is available 24/7 and can be contacted by phone, fax, email, or their live chat feature. Chat is available even without making an account which gives the opportunity to gather more information before joining.
The website  has a modern and easily navigable look, players can place their bets and move around the website without confusion and distraction.
Bookmaker is very well known for its high profile football partnership  deals. 188bet is proud sponsor of Premier League clubs, Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wonderers (shirt advertising). They are also a betting partner of Liverpool, Chelsea and Aston Villa. Other partnerships include Sheffield United, Everton and rugby teams Newcastle Falcons, Wigan Warriors and London Wasps RFC.
Beside the list of 28 sports, 188Bet.com additionally offers  gaming in form of casino (about 20 games), live casino, financials and mobile service.
There are also many other benefits to their customers. Live streaming of 16 leagues and competitions (registration is required), 13 deposit options, nine currencies, statistics, results, odds calculator...

Votes against

Those punters who prefer other sports more than football won’t spend too much time before facing the first drawback.188bets offers events in 28 sports, but coverage of sports other than football is only mediocre. Offer is limited and live streaming almost doesn’t exist. Also, some lack of sense for these sports is always present. Book had one ridiculous rule about voiding bets on tennis matches interrupted for more than 12 hours. For example, this overlooks the possibility of rain on Wimbledon! There’re no poker and horse racing in offer as well.
When you try to get the winnings, it’s possible sometimes that the bookmaker will apply higher withdrawal charges in case of higher wins.
Despite their strong dedication about spreading on European market, languages are limited only to English, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Indonesian. Which is nothing else than giving up from the clients and countries that have animosity to English language like Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland or Scandinavia. Odds are decimal, Hong Kong , Indonesian, Malaysian, but no UK format!
In 2010., 188bet required from some of European players to enclose their sources of income by providing salary statements or income tax assessments. Explanation was the documents are required by the licensing regulator in the Isle of Man as part of money laundering checks. Players were frustrated as they understood it as a try for identifying the professional gamblers.
188bet also closed the doors for the residents of the following countries and regions: USA, Netherlands, Turkey, Switzerland, Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Closure

If you are English speaking, football bettor, this bookmaker is a must have for you. They have some business related problems, but from my point of view (as bettor) they’re top class. Nine stars of ten!

If you still don't have account at 188bet, support the blog and open it from this link:

Blackpool - West Ham

Obvious reasons, here. The Seasiders went in over in every home game (scored and conceded every time). My initial thoughts were to back them on -0.25ah, but they lost five of last six games in league (six of seven including Cup). Also, they’re worst hosts in Premier. New signings Reid and Beattie will be in contention.

After Wolves, The Hammers are worst travellers in league (8 points of 12 games) and they’re on the bottom. West Ham haven’t kept a clean sheet away in last 20 games. Keano will probably have his debut (I can’t see any sense in bringing him tbh), another striker Demba Ba could also be in the team.

Both defences are simply horrible and both sides are desperate for three points. Odds on goals maybe look little skinny, but it worth of a shot I’d say.
